Since 30 April 2026, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has been accepting applications for new generic top-level domains (gTLDs). For the first time since 2012, companies, brand owners and organisations now have the opportunity to secure their own domain extension. The application deadline runs until 12 August 2026.
